The pant's in future will be divided into three classes :—No. 1, single men, are to have two days work per week and 4 days oft. No. 2, married men, with their families here, are to ha ve 5 days work at 5s per day, and 1 day off. No. 8, married men, with their families in town, four days work at 5s per day, and 2 off. 50 men from outside will be put on .’u a fortnight’s time, under these rules, on this road. Messrs Handyside, Roberts &c., arc going to have 600 acres of manuka scrub cut on their Glencoe Kan next month, which will take a few hands from the outside ranks of the unemployed. Mr D.
