Regarding Tilden's anno mcemeiit that he is willing to play in the preliminary rounds of the next world’s championship, the All England Club is prepared to consider the suggestion, if lormally requested Leading English players continue to be divided on the subject. ST. JOHN’S CLUB. The anual meeting of the above Club took place at Dustins’ Rooms on Monday evening last, when Mr Lampe presided over an attendance of about 30 members. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. A vote of thanks was moved to all officers for the past season. The courts are now being put into first class order and should be ready for pay in the course of the next few weeks, when there will be seven asphalt courts at the disposal of the members. Opening day wifi be notified in the paper.
