CiiRiSTCHURCH, July 30.

The annual match between teams representing Canterbury and South Canterbury was played on the Christ College ground this afternoon in the presence of over 2000 people. The Canterbury players showed good all round form, the passing among the backs being the feature" of the match. The visitors were outclassed from the start andweie defeated by 30 points to nothing. Lorimer (2), Price. White, Ken*, Appleby, Uru and O'Brien scored tries. Appleby placed five goals from tries, some of which were at difficult angles. Uru kicked one penalty goal and converted one try. The latter, who weighs 15st 31bs, played a splendid game at wing three-quarter.
