IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly, intituled " The County of Westland Act, 1868," and of an Act intituled " The Regulation of Elections Act, 1870," and of an Act intituled " The County of Westland Acts Amendment Act, 1870," I, GERARD GEORGE FITZGERALD, Returning Officer for Hokitika Electoral District, do hereby give notice that an (election will be held for the return of two qualified persons to serve as Members of County Council of Westland for the said Electoral District, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate's Court House, at noon, on Tuesday, the third day of December, 1872, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Thursday, the twelfth day of December, 1872 ; and I further give ribtice that at such Nomination every Candidate must be proposed by an elector duly qualified to vote at the Election, and seconded by another elector so qualified .
