DR CHAPPLE RETURNED. BY TELEGRAPH —PBESS ASSOCIATION* . DUNEDIN, June 5. Polling for the Tuapeka by-election took place to-day, and proved a close contest between the two Liberal candidates. The first batch of returnsto hand gave, Dr Chappie a lead of 118, but subsequent figures improved Mr Home's position and the final showed that Dr Chappie had been returned by a majority of thirty.
