[Per Pbess Association.] AUCKLAND, Nov. 22. Mr William Crowther is returned Mayor of Auckland, unopposed for his second term of office. NAPIER, Nov. 22. Mr G. H. Swan, M.H.R., was re-elected Mayor. He has held the office since 1885. WOODVILLE, Nov. 21. Mr Hubert Burnett has been elected Mayor, unopposed, for the third time. WELLINGTON, Nov. 21. Messrs S. Lancaster, A. Cameron, and W. A. Fitzherbert have been re-elected Mayors unopposed for the boroughs of Karori, Onslow, and Lower Hntt respectively. Messrs H. D. Bell and Geo. Fisher have been nominated for the City Mayoralty. DUNEDIN. Nov. 21. The proceedings at the city nomination were very quiet. Messrs Fish, Haynes and Chapman were nominated. Mr Maurais, a member of the Labour organisation, is returned unopposed for the Weßt Harbour. So far only Messrs W. Thomson, Eden George and J. T. Smith have been nomi-, nated for the Christchnrch Mayoralty. Nominations close at noon to-morrow, and some citizens have been actively engaged in canvassing the city to secure further nominations. . Mr B. Bird, the present Mayor, was yesterday nominated for the Mayoralty of Ashburton. Mr Andrew Sherratt was re-elected Mayor of Timaru yesterday, unopposed. Nominations for the offices of Mayors of the Boroughs of Sydenham and St Albans will close at noon to-day. - ■-- *■■<■* A meeting of "Mx : W. Thomson's siip- •' porters will be held in the Oddfellows' Chambers this evening.

!Mr Eden George addressed a meeting of ratepayers in the Oddfellows' Chambers 1 last night. He referred to the question of I honorarium. He said that the late Mayors seemed to think that the honorarium of j £200 was granted as a salary, but he 1 maintained that a Mayor should be a j liberal man, and in a position to considerably add to the honorarium, so as to properly entertain citizens and visitors. ! He said that great benefit would accrue to j trade were the ratepayers to select more ■ Buitable and liberal Mayor 3. After Mr George had dealt with various municipal affairs and answered several questions, the following resolution was carried unanimously :— " That this meeting thanks Mr Eden George for hiß address, and desires , to express its confidence in him as the : next Mayor of Christchurch, and further, that this meeting forms itself into a ; Committee, and pledgea itself to do all in its power to secure Mr Eden George's return." A vote of thanks to the Chair- ; man, Mr Cadwallader, closed the meet- ; ing. Subsequently Committee work was . arranged. Ab Councillor William Jacques was the j only person nominated at noon to-day for the mayoralty of the Borough of Sydenham, he haa been declared duly elected. Mr H. O. D. Meares, the present Mayor ' of St Albans, was the only person nomi- j ] nated at noon to-day for the office of ; j Mayor, and he has been elected for another j year. 1 Nominations for the position of Mayor , of the Borough of Lyttelton closed at noon j to-day, when the following were nomi- { nated:— W. Hildyard, J. T. Brice, J Thompson and N. C. Schumacher.
