Mayoral Elections.
CITY OF CHRISTCHUKCH. The nominations of candidates for tho mayoral chair were to take place at noon to-day. As there was but one nomination ' that of Mr Charles , Louisson, the late. Mayor, the Eetnrning Officer, Mr G. L* Lee, declared Mr Louisson to be duly elected. The proceedings were of a purely formal : character ; the citizens, by their absence, ! manifesting either their entire satisfaction ' with His Worship's past year of office, or j their absolute apathy in regard to matters municipal. SYDENHAM. Mr W." Langdowa, the retiring Mayor o£ Sydenham, was to-day elected for a second term of office without opposition. , [Peb Pbess Association.] NAPIEE, Nov. 21. Q. H. Swan was re-elected Mayor, being the only candidate for the Mayoralty. This is his fourbh year of office. OAMAEU, Nov. 21. James Wilson Humphrey and David i Dunn were to-day nominated for the office of Mayor of Oamaru.
