MAYORAL ELECTIONS.
♦ The City. At the City Council Chambers, at noon to-day, the only candidate nominated for the Mayoral chair was Mr Charle3 Louisson, who was consequently declared by the Eeturning-OfEcer, Mr G. L. Lee, to be duly elected. The Mayor-elect was warmly congratulated by the retiring Mayor, Mr A. Ayers, and a few friends who had taken aa interest in the election.
