Bounded towards the north-west, north and east by tho Cheviot eloctoral district to the Ashley river ; towards the south by the said river to the road forming the eastern boundary of section No. 10512 ; towards the east by that road continued to the Oxford and Kaiapoi road, at the south-east corner of section No. 4543 ; towards tho north-east by said road and the borough cf Kaiapoi, to *ho Waimakariri river, and again towards tho south by that river to the Cheviot electoral district. Kaiapoi. Bounded towards the north by tho Ashley electoral diatrict and Cheviot electoral district ; towards the east by the sea ; towards the south by a right line through trigonometrical etation 027 on the sea coast, and trigonometrical station Cl9 lo the left bank of tho river Wainirtkariri ; towards the west by the left bank of that river to the borough of Kaiapoi ; thence to wards the south-west by the Ashley eloctoral district to section No. 4553, and again towards tho west by t.ie road forming the eastern Bide of that section continued to tho Ashley river. Bounded towards tho north by the Ashley and Kaiapoi electoral districts ; towards tho east by the sea ; towards the south by the north bank of tho river Avon from its mouth to the Stanmoro road ; thonco towards the webt by said road to section 325 ; towards the south by the road forming the southern boundary of that section to section 287 j then again towards tho west by sections 287, 219, 367, ClO7O, and 1133 to tho Purakanui crook ; thence by that creek to section 1131 ; thence again towards the south by sections 1119,, 1192, 1147, 1048, 301, 307, 135 to section 1101 thonco by sections 135,242,143, 80, and a line to. tho north-west corner of section 155 ; thonco by Bection 155 and a road to the with-east boundary of section 1-15 ; thonco >y that boundarylino till it is crossed b/ a creek running easterly into tho river Heathcoto, and the middle oft hat creek till it meets a line in/ continuation of Bouth-eabl boundary of soclion No. 180 ; tho line so continued to. the southeast boundary of section ho. 156 as far as a point whcro that road first, meots a branch of the river Heathcoto; a lino drawn thonco due west to a point wliero it, crosses the Great j South road, and by tho Great South road ; j and towards tho west by the Waimakariri ; and Ross road, and tho Weedons and Ross ' road. Sydenham. Bounded by a line commencing at fche intersection of roads known" as Wilson's road and the Ferry road, and running thence along the south side of tho Ferry road in a westerly direction to the East town belt of tho City of Christohurch ; thence along the east side of the said Belt to the Town belt of the said Oiiy, and thence along the south side of the said belt to the lower Lincoln road ; thence along tbe southernmost side of said Lincoln road to a road known as Brighfc'a road ; thence in a aouth- easfc direction along fche north side of Bright's road to a road known as the Windmill road, and thence along the east side of eaid Windmill road to a road known at* Colombo road ; thence along fche oast aide a'c Colombo road to fche road known as Piper's road, and thenoe alonp tht north side of Piper'a road lo the River Heathcote • thence along the eouth bank of the said river to Wilson's bridge, and thence northerly along tho west side of Wilson's road to the starting point. Bounded towards the north by the Christchurch North electoral diatrict ; towards the easfc by the east town belt ; towards the south by the south town belt, and towards the north-west by Lincoln road and by Antigua atreet to the Biver Avon. Hbathcotb. Bounded towards the north from the Halswell river by a tributary of thafc river, running through sections 407 and 393 fco the Canal Beserve ; by laid roservo to the river Heathcote, and by that river to the Colombo South road ; towards fche west by the Sydenham electoral diatrict and the Stanmore electoral distriot ; Sgain, towards the north by the Avon electoral district ; towards the east by fche sea ; towai da the south by Port Lyttelton, the Lyttelton electoral district and righfc lineß from peak to peak, following the summit, of fche north- weefc Watershed of Port Lyttelton fco Trig station on Cooper's Knob ; thence to and by a stream rising on the western side of Cooper's Knob to its junction with the Halswell ; and towards fche west by fche said river fco the tributary before mentioned, fche starting point. Akaboa, Bounded towards the north by the Heathcote electoral diatrict; towards the northeast, east and south by the sea to the mouth of Lake Elleßmere ; towards the north-west by Lake Ellesmere to the mouth of the river Halswell ; again towards the weßt by the eaid river to the Heathcote electoral district, the starting point. Lincoln. Bounded towards tho Norfch by the Great South Bailway and the Great South road, to the south-west corner of Avon electoral district at Weedonß, thence by the Baid Avon electoral distriot; towards the east by St Albans electoral district and the Sydenham electoral district ; towards the south-east by the Heathcote electoral district, and the Akaroa electoral district ; towards the south by that district, and towards the south-west by Lake Ellesmere to the mouth of the Kiver Selwyn, and by tho said river to the Great Southern Railway, the starting point. Selwyn. Bounded towards the north-west by the westorn boundary line of Westenra'e run produced to fche Bakaia river ; towards the north-east by the Hororata river ; towards the south-east by Lake Ellesmere ; towards the south by the sea, and towards the southwest by the right bank of the Bakaia river. COLEBIDGB. Bounded towards the north*wo?fc by the dividing range between Canterbury and Westland from the source of the Biver Bakaia to the Teremakau saddle ; towards the east and north-east by the Cheviot, Ashley, and Avon electoral districts ; towards the south by the Lincoln, and Selwyn districts, and towards the south-west and south by the right bank of the Bakaia to its source in the Southern Alps, the Btarting point. Bounded towards fche northwest by fche Southern Alps ; towards the north i and north-east by the Coleridge electoral district ; towards the south-east by run 117, again towards the north-east by run 117 and run 118, produced to the railway ; towards tho south by that railway to the borough of Ashburton ; towards the eaßt by section 5800 ; towards the south-east by sections 4904 and 4873 to the Ashburton Biver, by said river to the railway again ; towards the south-weßt by the Bivor Bangitata and Clyde Biver, to its sourco in the Southern Alps. Sounded towards the north-east by fche Bakaia Biver ; towards the south-east by the sea ; towards the south-west by the Bangitata Biver ,* and towards the north-west by Aahburton electoral district. Bounded towards the wost by fcho road commencing afc the Washdyke creek, botweon section 1864 and 3131, running south-west to the south-oast corner of section 2001 ; thenco westerly to tho north west corner of 3976; thence south easterly to the southern boundary of the Municipality of Timaru ; thence by the southern boundary of that Municipality to tho sea, and towards the east by tho sea and by Washdyke creek to the starting point. Gladstone. Bounded towards tho north-oast by fcho Ashburton electoral district ; towards tho south-eaifc and north-east by tho Geraldine electoral district to the soa ,- towards the south-east by the eea, by Timaru electoral district and again by tho aoa ; towards the Bouth-west by tho Pareora river to its sourco at Mount Niinrod ; thonco by right lines along the summit of Hunter's Hill to tho northern boundary of run 163 ,* thonce by a right line duo west to fche Hakatoramea river ; thenoe by a right line to tho Hakatoramea post ; thence by a right lino to tho Waitangi rivor at tho northern corner of run 261 ; again towurds tho south-west and towards tho sea by that river, tho Ohau river, Lako Ohau, and the Biver Hopkins to tho Southern Alps ; towards tho north-wosl by that range to Ashburton doctoral district.
