Mr H. P. Muiuut-Athblbt, on atcwiding the platform, wat recwred with pcolonged cheering. He tatd he had to thank the electors for the proud position they had placed him in. He had had a good fight, and had that time been victorious. He thanked all those who had voted for him and those who opposed him. He trusted that whan the excitement of the election was over they should go into quiet life, end forget anything that, during the beat of argument, might have been said, and he trusted tbey would in the future find him a useful Member.
