COLERIDGE ELECTION.

— ♦ : — DECLARATION OF THE POLL. At one p.m. yesterday, the Returning Officer (Mr E. J. Lee) attended at Bealey's Woolshed, Hororata, and declared the result of the poll to be as follows : — ; Bluett 106 Hart 99 Jebson ... ... ... ... 48 Majority for Mr Bluett, 7. It appeared that two men named Johnston had voted in respect to the same qualification — one for Mr Hart at the Ashburton, and the other for Mr Jebson, at Eowai Pass. Consequently both votes were struck off, which gave a majority of 7 for Mr Bluett.
