Since your special reporter left nothing ef importance has transpired. The prospectors are still engaged prospecting. On Monday night a meeting of the Waitoa Prospecting Association was held at the Hot Springs Hotel (O'Halloran's) and there was a good attendance, principally of Waitoa settlers. Mr .Reuben Parr was appointed Chairman, Mr Mclntyre manager, and Mr G. S. O'Hailoran was requested to act as Secretary. More members could hare been obtained, but the limit is, I belieTe, fifteen.

During the past two days about a dozen genuine miners have arrived here from the Thame3 and elsewhere, and they seem to be a class of men likely to make god prospectors, and not "flat" loafers. They have all started work.
