' In the S.M. Court this morning F. Fabian sued Tax Lee, the owner of a Chinese, laundry, for shirts, collars/ handkerchiefs, * etc., . he had sent to the wash on December 20th, and which had not- b,een returned. . . v „ The plaintiff^* who conducted hisoVir .case, said*"he was^unable to' obtain the clothes although he had applied se'v-v eral times for 'the' bundle. The .wash?. ing was sent from. ChatsworthHousDv' where he,, lodged, and he .believed a 'ticket, was obtained for the goods. He hadrepeatddly applied for the linen sent but could not get the articles. Ho believed the tick'efc Hj lia& been lost, Mr. C. L. MaQiJi^bmd, who appeared for Tai Lee, cross-examined as to th 6 articles sent and the ticket' received.' > Eileen Howell/ daughter of tho proprietress of Chatsworth House* gave evidence that she took a parcel of Mr Fabian's linen, to the Chinese laundry a few days before Xmas. She got a 'ticket in return, and this she gave to her mother. !, Mr MacDiarmid produced the Chinese laundry book, a wondrous looking int? volume filled* with mystic looking aigaa in, red and black ink.
