Mr John Buchan, writing in the "Daily Sketch" on Sir Douglas Haig, says: "Haig and Foch were complementary to each other, like Lee and Jacksou. The British Army supplied Foeh with his weapons, such as tanks and the creeping barrage, and it was the British Army that finally crushed Ludendorff.
