CROWN A HEAVY LOAD

The newNShah, aged sixteen, drove to Parliament House in a glass coach drawn by eight horses.
He placed his hand on the Koran to take the oath.
The crown proved a heavy load, and it was removed and replaced by an astrakhan hat surmounted by a diamond aigrette.
