Shipping Enquiry,
Wellington, December 11. An enquiry into the loss of the Spirit of the Dawn was held before the Resident Magistrate and Captain Adams. After hearing the details of the disaster, which were similar to the story already published, the Court held that there was no evidence to sh jw how the vessel came into the position, and expressed an opinion that all hands had done what they could under the circumstances to save life.
