♦ FEILDING'S POPULAR MAYOR DEFEATED. (Per Press Association.) FEILDINU, ' this day. In the Mayor elections Mr A. M. Ong. ley defeated Mr E. Uoodbehere (sitting Mayor) by five votes. it was the heaviest poll ori record. Mr Ongley was a most prominent athlete, and was captain of both cricket and 1 football clubs, and a champion tennis player.
