Sir,— ln your last night's wires you state the arrival of the Storm King (barque) at the Cape of Good Hope. There is a plucky fellow by the name of Captain Gorgenson, who has constructed a raft for saving lifo in case of shipwreck. It consists of ship water tanks joined together by a design of his own, and to prove that it is sea : worthy he left England some months ago with the intention of going round the world, and having gob through the wild Atlantic it looks as though he will succeed ; at any rate all hands hope he will, and live long after to enjoy what his pluck earns for him.
