Tho first to show in front was Wolf's Hope, with Survivor, Wild Irishman, and Golden Bridge next, whilst Pheon and Greenan were at the head of the others; Hearwood and Sati bringing up the rear. At tho mile post Savoy headed Wolfs Hope, with Wild Irishman, Pheon, and Greenan at the head of the others, and then came Uniform, Golden Bridge, Tom Cringle, and Le Samaritan, with Hearwood and Fifeshire last. At the top of the hill Savory was still showing the way, followed by Survivor, Wild Irishman, Pheon, and Greenan, with Newhaven II now lying next, with Wolf's Hope, Tom Cringle, and Winsome Charteris at the liead of tho others. Savoy lost her place as the straight was made, into which Survivor came, followed by Pheon, Greenan, and Newliaven 11, whilst Sati, Savory, Le Samaritan, and Tom Cringle were at the bead of the remainder. A quarter of a mile from home Pheon was beaten, and Newhaven II and Tom Cringle took second and third places. In the bottom. Cannon shot out Newhaven 11, who immediately drew clear, and scored in most decisive fashion by two lengths; four lengths ■between second and third. Sati was placed fourth. Winsome Charteris was fifth, Greenan jixth, Pheon seventh, Le Samaritan eighth, Savory ninth, Wild Irishman tenth, Fifeshire eleventh, Hearwood twelfth, Golden Bridge thirteenth, and Merman last.
