After a delay of nearly 20 minutes the flag fell to a fair start, in which Feuillago, Matrimony, and Hygiene were the firat to show in front. They were closely followed by Arga, Lockstitch, Siam, and Exmoor,<and then came Tho Bard, at whose quarters lay Lorgnette for half the journey. At this stage Lockstitch lost his place, and Arga was th-n disputing the load with Fauillage, Hygiene, and Exmoor until a coupla of distances from homo, when The Lard assumed the command, and in croasing over to the centre quickly shut out three or four of tha tiring division. At the commencement of the Btaud he had drawn clear of Hygiene, and, adding to his lead as he wont on, he won easily by 10 lengths from Hygiene, who saved 89cond money by a neck.
