Dracken&berg, The Prince, and iSritomartie, with Goldfield in their heels, and on the left Bonny Jean was well up and clear of Hamako. Across the flat Export was leading half a dozen lengths from Ossian and Goldfield, close up with the latter of whom were The Prince and Drackensberg. At the T.Y.C. winning post Export was done with, and Ossian took up the running, followed by Goldfield and The Prince, with Drackensberg and Hamako text. The favourite took close order with Ossian soon afterwards, but lost his place again in descending the hill, and though he was making up some ground again in the asoent out of the Abingdon Bottom he could not again reach Oasian, who won all out by a length. Four lengths from Goldfield The Prince was third, some half a dozen lengths clear of Hamako, who in turn finished a long way in front of Drackensberg, fifth ; Bonny Jean was sixth, Britomartis seventh, and Noisette last, tailed off.
