The favourite took close order with Ossian soon afterwards, but lost his place again in descending the hill, and though he was making up some ground again in the asoent out of the Abingdon Bottom he could not again reach Oasian, who won all out by a length. Four lengths from Goldfield The Prince was third, some half a dozen lengths clear of Hamako, who in turn finished a long way in front of Drackensberg, fifth ; Bonny Jean was sixth, Britomartis seventh, and Noisette last, tailed off.
