As they came along Swinley Bottom Culloden held the lead by about 20 lengths. He was followed by Volup< tuary, Maekelyne, Geologist, and Iroquois, in the order named, till three-quarters of a mile from home, when Culloden was beaten by Voluptuary, Neophite, and Great Carle, who came on together until half-way up the straight* when they were joined by Ircquois and Geolo^ giat ; the former winning a good race by half a, length before Geologist, with Great.
