BRAITHWAITE.—On March 27, 1917 (suddenly), _at his residence, St. Clair, Joseph Braithwaite; aged 69 years. COOPER.—On March 26, 1917, at her residence, 40 Cass street, Tcmuka, Jane, relict of Frederick Cooper. "A patient sufferer gone to rest." DICK—On March 27, at Dunedin, Jessie Dalghesh, tho beloved wifo of Samuel Dick, 31 j Castle street, and' daughter of tho late Andrew Thomson, Port Chalmers. Private interment.—Hopo and Kinaston, undertakers, FIELD.—On March 27, 1917, at his residence, Elderlee street, Milton, James F. C. Field, the beloved husband of Mary Doeherty; aged 83 years. "At rest." Announcements of Births, Marriages, and Deaths sent by post for publication must bear the signature of our agent, a clergyman, or a J.P. Charco for these, 3s each prepaid", or 4s if booked, when not exceeding five lines, and Gd for each line over five. "In Memoriam " notices are inserted at tlio same rates, but when verses are added an additional charge of Gd per lino is made for each line of space occupied. Notices of Death and Private Interment without reference *n either time or plaoe of interment; prepaid 5s Gd, booked Gs Gd. Notices- of Death and Funeral, cither whero the funeral notice is a separate advertisement or is part of the death notice; prepaid Ss, booked 9s. In computing the lines of space to be occupied, advertisers are notified that thev can Teckon six words to the lino. All words over 30 are, therefore, charged at Gd for each six words. Notifications of Births, Marriages, and Deaths appearing in tho Daily Times are inserted also in the Witness without additional charge.
