PENINSULA LICENSING COMMITTEE.
The annual meeting of the Peninsula Licensing Committee was held at the Anderson's Bay schoolhouse on Saturday, and attended by Messrs A. Nicoll (chairman), R. Inglis, AM'Kay, and T. Mr M'Kay. remarked that he thought the house was nearly, if not fully, four miles from another licensed house, and it was ultimately decided to grant the application * ■'•••"■-. The Chairman said before the committee dispersed he should like to refer to the manner in which Constable Hartnell had performed his duties He had not been over-officious, but had done his duty well, and the committee would all agree with him (the chairman) that the constable was a credit to the district.
