Yesterday, the election of members to rcprescni the different Wards of the town in the. new Town Board, took place, and considerably more interest was manifested by tlie inhabitants, than ba<s hitherto attended electioneering proceedings in Dunedin. In ! the Wards Nos. 1 and 2, the contest was not devoid of excitement, and- a largo number of voters polled in all the. WarJs. Only two' of tlie members, we believe, are new residents/ the remain lei- have moat of them served on the Town Board on previous occasions, and three of the successful candidates were members of the lioarl just dissolved.
