(by telegraph.) Wellington, November 28. Messrs Fisher, Maodonald, and Hislop havo been nominated for the City, and Mr Wilford for tho Suburbs. Mr T. Carmichael, a Liberal candidate, addressed the elcotors to-night. He said he would not have come forward had he known that Mr Fisher was going to stand, but the lattor's determination came as a surprise to him. He strongly supported the Government policy, and received a vote of thanks and confidence. Dunedin, November 28. Messrs John Bennett, Alexander Fraser, and C. C. Rawlins have been nominated for (Tuapeka. Mr John Macgregor, late M.L.C., addressed a meeting to-night at the Garrison Hall. He commenced and ended by stating that ho did not appear before them aa a candidate or an intending candidate. Messrs Millar and Haynes have been nominated for the City, and Mr Warren for Caversham. Invercjargill, November 28. Mr J. W. Kelly was nominated to-day for tho Invercargill seat. Mr Kelly addressed his first meeting of constituents to-night, the Theatre being packed. He devoted a good deal o! time to explaining why he, being a Liberal, did not support the Seddon Government through thick and thin. He got a good hearing until he touched on the question of old age pensions, the method of providing the money for which he had opposed* At the close there was confusion. The usual vote of thanks and confidence was proposed, to which there was an amendment that the meeting had no confidence in Mr Kelly. The Mayor declared both carried on the voices, but, on a demand for a show of hands for the motion, it w»s declared carried. TiMARf, November 28. Mr William Hall-Jones was to-day nominated for Timaru, and Mr Charles Nicholson Mackintosh for Geraldine. WANGANOI, November 2S. Messrs Carson, Willis, and Murphy have been nominated for the Wanganui seat. Hawera, November 28.

Messrs M'Guire (Opposition) and Astbury (Independent Liberal) have been nominated for the Hawera seat.

Wellington, November 29. Mr R. E. Hornblow has retired from the contest for the City. Thames, November 29. Henry James Greenslade, Edmund Harvey Taylor, and James M'Gowan have been nominated for the Thames seat. Palmerston North, November 29. Messrs D, Buick and W. T. Wood have been nominated for Palmerston. New Plymouth, November 29. Messrs Henry Brown (Oppositionist) and E. M. Smith (Ministerialist) are the only nominations for Taranaki. Fhilding, Novemder 29. Mr F. Y. Lethbridge, the Opposition sitting member, and Mr R. Taylor, a Government candidate, were nominated to-day for tho Rangitikei seat.
