A hotel recently erected as a pleasure resort, the Hotel .Titirangi, has been forced by the present dull times to go into liquidation. An extraordinary meeting of shareholders in Hdtel Titirangi, Limited, decided yesterday that the company could not, by reason of its liabilities, continue in business and that it was advisable to wind up the company. Messrs. R. N. S. Chisholm and J. A. Stewart were appointed joint liquidators. The hotel was officially opened on November 20 last by the Right Hon. J. G. Coates at a ceremony attended by noarly 300 people. It stands on one of the finest situations at Titirangi. No effort was spared to cater for the comfort of guests, and the furnishing and interior decoration were carried out on a lavish scale. Suites of rooms with separate bathrooms attached were a special feature, and hot and cold water was laid on to every bedroom. The main room on the ground floor is a spacious tearoom and cabaret.
