INTERESTING WEDDING.

At St. Paul's Church yesterday afternoon, the marriage of Mr. Vernon Reed, of Kawakawa, M.P. for the Bay of Islands, to Miss Eila Williams, a younger daughter of Mr. T. C. Williams, formerly of Wellington, and now of " Cintra," Symonds-street, was solemnised in the presence of a large number of relatives and guests. Bishop Williams, of Waiapu, a cousin of the bride, performed the marriage ceremony, Archdeacon Williams, of Hawke's Bay, an uncle of the bride, and the Rev. C. A. B. Watson assisting. There was a full choral service.

The bride, who was given away by her father, Mr. T. C. Willilams, was charmingly attired in a dress of white satin, trimmed with Brussels lace. The train was of white minon trimmed with satin roses, and the veil was of white tulle. The bride was escorted by two trainbearers, Miss Jocelyn and Master Kenneth Bloomfield, both dressed in pink satin ; and by six bridesmaids, Misses Elsie Williams (cousin of the bride), Ida and Beatrix Russell (neices), Mavis and Enid Reed, and lima Norris, neices of the bridegroom. Miss Elsie Williams was attired in a pink satin dress trimmed with pink tulle and a brown satin hat trimmed with garlands of roses. The other bridesmaids wore similar attire, except that the material of their dresses was silk trimmed with satin.

The bride's going-away dress was powder-blue in colour, and was trimmed with embroidery. The hat was trimmed with blue silk.

Mr. W. L. Ludbrook,of Gisborne, acted as best man.

After the ceremony a reception was given at their residence, by the bride's parents. A great number of valuable presents were displayed in the drawingroom. Mr. and Mrs. Reed will reside at the Bay of Islands, but will be in Wellington for the Parliamentary session.
