SHORTAGE OF RAILWAY TRUCKS.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN correspondent.]
Te Awamutu, Monday. Owing to the insufficiency of the supply of cattle trucks at Ngaroto railway station this morning, two farmers were compelled (although having duly ordered trucks) to return home with their stock. In one instance a truck was specially ordered for carrying a bull to Auckland in order to catch a steamer this evening for Mangonui, and in 'consequence of there being no truck all arrangements were upset.
