DIED.

It is our melancholy duty to record the death of the Rev. John Gare Butler, Native Guardian and Interpreter to the New Zealand Company, at 25 minutes past 2 o'clock in the afternoon of Friday, the 18th of June. The rev. gentleman suftered intensely during a period of twelve weeks, and leaves a numerous circle of friends to lament his loss.. He was in his 60th year.
