(by telegraph ) AUCKLAND. November 16. The attendance ab tb.9 agricultural show exceeds any previous year's record. There will be a substantial balance. The Hon. Thomaa Thompson addressed the City electors on Thursday evening. Mr a. Beardman has been elected mayor without oppoaibion. . A. conversazione was held m tho Choral Hall to the bishop and clergy m honor of Bishop Lenihan's como cration. There was a crowded attendance. The Hon. J. A, Tole presided. There was an excellent nous cal pro gramme. Four addresses were presented to Bishop Lenihan from the clergy and laity, City Hibernian society, the MBrisb Brobhers. Bishop Leniban euibab!y replied, The Hon. Thomas Thompson, Minister of Justice, was presenb. Mr John Press is out for bhe Bay of Islands elecborate. He is under* stocd bo bo Opposition.
