WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL. (By Electric Telegraph.) Waimate, July 12.
A deputation, consisting of Messrs Gibbs and Moore waited upon the County Council, to-day, re Interior Railway. Mr Gibbs produced a plan of the proposed lino, and dwolt at some length upon the advantages to bo obtained were the line constructed. ~ The deputation then withdrew, to allow the Council to consider what stops they would take. After discussion, Mr Manchester proivw«»a, oncl Mi Moody seconded — That in the opinion of this Council, it is not desirable to take any steps in connection with the railway via Duntroon to Naseby. Carried.
