THE EASTER MONDAY WEDDINGS.
FLYGER-DREW. We have already described several of that wonderful batoh of matrimonial lannchings at Palmerston on Monday. Another notable example was that of Miss Elsie Flyger, eldest daughter of Mr H. T. Flyger, of " Riverlea." Fitzherbert, to Mr A. Kingsley Drew, county clerk, Sandon, and second son of Mr Alfred Drew, Palmerston North. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. O. Harper in All Saints' Church, where the bride was given away by her father, and wore chiffon taffeta over glace silk, trimmed with silver embroidery and silver tassels, and the usual bridal veil. The bridesmaids were Miss Doris Flyger and Miss Elsie Drew. They wore pink silk muslin with creme net and with sleeves and yoke edged with deeper shade of pink velvet, brown silk hats aad piuk plumes. The best man was Mr H. T. B. Drew, brother of the groom, formerly of this paper and now of the Dominion, and the groomsman was Mr J. Barclay, of Wellington. The wedding march .was played by Mr A. Drew, organist of All Saints'. It wad all very quiet by desire of the parties, but none the less attractive. After the ceremony a reception was held at "White House."
EVANS-ALLEN,
At St. Andrew's Church yesterday May, third daughter of Mr Olarle Allen, of Palmerston, was married to Mr Evan Evans, eldest son of the late Mr E. T. Evans, who was headmaster of the Stratford State school. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. I. Jolly, M.A., assisted by the Rev. J. Millar Thomson, M.A. The bride wore a pretty travelling dress of grey, trimmed with green, with hat to match. The bridesmaids— Miss Katie Alleu, sister of the bride, and Miss Winnie Evans, sister of the bridegroom, wore pretty brown frocks, Kimon'a style, relieved with cream. Mrs Alleu, mother of the bride, wore a blue toilor-raade costume with hat to match. Mr Clarke Allen, senior, gave his daughter away. Mr Owen Evans acted as best man and Clarke Allen, junior, as groomsman. The bride and groom were recipients of many handsome presents. The bridegroo-n presented eacli of the bridesmaids with a gold brooch.
