The sale of Mr T. Attwood's pictures conducted this afternoon by Messrs Mounsey and Co., proved most successful, and all the pictures were disposed of at fair prices.
The secretary of the hospital desires to acknowledge with thanks receipt of donations to the hospital by the following Chinese residents of' Palmerston North:-Joe Kwong Lee, Joe Kwong Shing Lee, and Hum Kee, £B 3s each • Wong Hop, and Quong Shing, £2 2a each ; Yee Kern Lee, Yew Yee, Chung Chee, and William Tie, £1 Is each ; Lee Nam Yup,'Tie Tuung Ngau, and Wong Tsan Hi, 10s each : Lai Lung Ching, Lue Chuo Hung, Low Gung, Tsan Shue, and Lue Qui, 5s each ; Joo Chee Puuk, 3s 6d • Joe Hok Pang, 3s : Wong Tang, 3s ; Soo Yung Pah, !2s 6d. Total, £21 4s.
