The Cdok Island imports for 1902 totalled £27,623 and the exports £24,821. The imports included from New Zealand £20,254; United Kingdom, £617; Australia, £1258; Tahiti, £4939. The exports to New Zealand totalled £25,046; to Tahiti £9775. The year's revenue, including the surplus from the previous year, totalled £6584 13s 4d; the expenditure £4725 l(ss Id; surplus, £1858 16s sd. The expenditure included £1580, the CC3C of the new Government buildings at Raratonga. The estimates included £800 for the erection of two houses for Government officials.
Ngamaru Ariki, husband of Queen Makia, died on March 31st from blood poisoning, the result of an injury to his hand with a hammer. He was agod 72 years. The natives are eagerly looking forward to the Parliamentary visit, and are rehearsing dances and collecting curios for the visitors.
