The Hot Springs.

Mrs E. Nicholls, who was the prime mover in the matter of the St Helen's Hospital enquiry, in Auckland, has been a visitor at the Hot Springs for the past month and leaves on Thursday. She pays a splendid tribute to the good effects of the Helensville baths, in that she came here a nerve-racked woman, quite run down, and was going away quite invigorated and strong again, and in splendid health. Mrs Nicholls was in Rotorua previously and someone told her of the good qualitios of the Hot Springs at Helensville, and she at once decided to come North, and was very pleased that she has done sc Since she had been here a number of visitors had experienced great benefit from their visits tc the Springs, and she had been informed of a number of cures where the Te Aroha and Rotorua baths had failed to give any benefit. the Helensuille Hot Springs, and Mr Massey replied that if it could be proved that the Springs were bringing about the Rood results as claimed, the Government would be prepared to render far more assistance in their development. For this purpose- Mrs Nicholls recommends that books should be kept and a responsible nurse engaged, so that patients' names and particulars of the benefit they experience recorded.
