ENTERPRISE IN TE KUITI.

Messrs Blackman and Cobb, of Te Kuiti, recently moved into their fine new double-fronted shop in Rora street, which they are lighting by the Lux light. Three lamps, giving, altogether, 1600 candle power, have been installed, and the general effect., when lighted up, is brilliant. This enterprising firm has also moved into a new furniture and bedding factory which they have just erected in Queen street. The building is a two-story structure, with rooms measuring 35 by 25 feet, and ample facilities for turning out all classes of furniture and cabinet work. It is barely three years ago that the firm commenced business in Te Kuiti, in a little room 9ft by 9ft, and it speaks volumes for their enterprise, together with the remarkable growth of the district, that they are now employing altogether seven people inclusive of the principals, and will be having ten workers by the New Year. Mr Blackman informs us that they are in a position to undertake the best work, their facilities in this respect being equal to the best city factories.
