RACING IN ENGLAND
BY CABLR-PEESS ASSOCIATION—OOPYBIGHT LONDON, May 2. The Two Thousand Guineas resulted: Ellangowan 1, Knockando 2, Dorsay 3. Elliott rode Eliangowan, Archibald Knockando, and Jones Dorsay. The race was won by a head, with half a length between second and third. Rosebery's win was most popular. The judge hoisted Legality's number as second owing to the similarity of colours, but corrected this 10 minutes later after some bookmakers had paid. Papyrus, the Derby favourite, finished fourth.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
