The Agent-Generalship.

HON. MR REEVES' DEPARTURE FROM LYTTELTON.

(per press association.) CHRISTCHUROH, January 6.

The HonW.P. Reeves left Lyttelton this evening by the Brunner for Wellington, whence he will leave for England on Friday to take up the duties of AgentGeneral. About 60 persons met at the railway station to bid Kirn farewell. After the usual handshaking, cheers were given for Mr and Mrs Reeves. Mr Beeves in returning thanks said the parting would not be for ever, and hoped when they met again they would be just -as good friends as they were now.
