NEW RAILWAY TIME-TABLE.
The recommendation of the District Manager that the evening train from New Plymouth should run on to Patea instead of stopping in Hawera having been adopted by the General Manager, a new time-table has been issued. Several other alterations have been made in the running time of the trains, but none of them are of any great moment. The morning train to New Plymouth will leave Patea at a quarter past six, and Hawera at 25 minutes to' eight, 30 minutes later than at present. Of this, 20 minutes will be made-up 1 in the running j and the train will arrive in New Plymouth only 20 minutes later than afc present. The afternoon train for New Plymouth will leave at 1.40 p.m., being five minutes earlier than now. The first train from Hawera to Wanganui will start at 6.35, or fifteen minutes earlier than at present. The second train will start at 11.10, or ten minutes later than at present. The evening train will leave for Patea afc 7 .35. The S&twfi&j extra trafo has been abolished. The ordinary train that day leaves Wanganui three quarters of an hour earlier than on 1 other days, and arrives at Hawera at five minutes to 1, where it stays until 3.5, when the journey is resumed. The new timetable cornea into operation on Monday next.
