One of the most curious war sequels is a much-wounded Buckinghamshire man who long ago applied for a pension. After some- delay he wiis informed that he was dead. He replied denying the accusation, but tho correspondence was abruptly closed by the War Office giving him the number of his grave and its location. He now objects to paying income tax.
