MR. B. J. TUCKWELL
The death occurred on Saturday after a short illness of Mr. Bertie Joseph Tuckwell, who was well known in Wellington business circles. Born in Victoria, Australia, Mr. Tuckwell showed early promise as a cricketer and was a member of the Melbourne Club. After taking up his residence in New Zealand, he gained a place in the Otago representative team, and later he played for Wellington. Ho was a member of the New Zealand cricket team which toured Australia in the season prior to the outbreak of the Great War. A son, Flight Lieutenant W. Tuckwell, is serving overseas, and there are two daughters, Mrs. M. Warwick and Miss V. Tuckwell, both of whom reside in Wellington.
