NEW ZEALAND AIRMEN
LONDON, April 14. . Flight Lieutenant Robert Duncan Yule, R.A.F., .of New Zealand, has been awarded the D.F.C. The citation states: "Flight Lieutenant Yule participated in the operations over France in May, 1940, and also in the Battle of Britain. He destroyed five and damaged at least four enemy planes. He is a keen and courageous fighter pilot." The citation in the recent award of the D.F.C. to Flight Lieutenant Arthur George Lee Humphreys, Christ- ! church, states: "Flight Lieutenant Humphreys was captain of one of the planes which attacked Lubeck on March 23. An enemy night-fighter attacked the plane on the return journey, wounding the rear-gunner and forcing it down to 200 feet. Flight Lieutenant Humphreys evaded attackers and returned to his base. He "displayed high skill'1 and courage throughout the combat." Acting Squadron Leader Fi J. Lucas, R.N.Z.A.F., has been awarded a bar. to his D.F.C. His courage and perseverance against heavily-defended targets in order to secure photographs of his objectives have been most marked.: Pilot Officer R. W. Bray, of the R.A.F., has been awarded the DJF.C.
