WOMAN'S JAVELIN THROW

AUCKLAND, February 23,
A New Zealand record and a per* formance that ranks second in the British Empire was registered by Mis? Mary Mitchell, Dargaville, in the javelin throw at the Auckland women's amateur athletic championships at Eden Park on Saturday afternoon. Her distance was 125 ft Bin. She is the holder of the "New Zealand championship and record.
In the 100 yards junior men's championship, K. McAneny equalled the Dominion record of 10 l-ssec.
