STRAIGHT-OUT FIGHT

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day,
A straight-out fight will take place in Christchurch South for the Parliamentary seat made vacant by the death of Mr. E. J. Howard. Nominations closed at noon today, the candidates being Mr. R. M. Macfarlane (Labour) and Mr. M. E. Lyons (National).
