Mr. J..Purvis, chairman of the wqirks committee of the Upper Hutt Boraugh Council and a member of the Wellington Hospital Board, has announced his intention to contest the Upper FHutt Mayoralty at the .coming municipal elections. Mr. P., Robertson will iCQntest the Mayoralty in the interests Of he Labour Pary, and it is understood that the present Mayor (Mr. A.^ J. McCurdy) will stand again. ;
