NO LOOPHOLES
AT GRETNA GREEN COUPLES MUST SIGN FORM (Received January 23, 2.45 p.m.) LONDON, January 22. Richard Rennison, "priest-in-charge" of the present establishment at Gretna Green, says that he will marry people until the law abolishes it. "I tightened up all possible loopholes," he declared. "I introduced a form, which couples must sign, declaring that they are unmarried and have resided for 21 days in Scotland, and promising to register the marriage with in three months." Rennison added that the majority of couples married were between 40 and 60 years of age They came because they disliked fuss or were of different religions. He once married octogenarians.
