Omaha won his first two races, but in his third start ]- Was very narrowly beaten by Quashed in the Ascot Gold Cup. Taj Akbar, his victor yesterday, was the Aga Khan's elect for the Derby last month,-and finished second to his stablemate, Mahmoud, so that his success in the Princess of Wales's Stakes is fine tribute to the quality of the grey Derby winner.
