BLOMFIELD AND JAGET SINGH.

Two of the most popular wrestlers in New Zealand at the present time in "Lofty" Blomfield and Jaget Singh are to meet at the Town Hall on Monday night under the auspices of the local association. Blomfield, as a New Zealander, has a particular appeal, but apart from this he has proved himself to be a wrestler of a very high order—one, in fact, who promises to earn an international reputation. He* has shown himself to be more than a match for most of the men at present operating in the Dominion, and it is significant that he is the only matman to have taken a fall from the formidable Canadian, Earl McCready, during the latter's campaign in this country. . Those who saw him in action against Cistoldi recently will be keen to see him against Singh. The' Indian, with his special stock-in-trade, the "death lock," which has won him many falls in New Zealand, is always a dangerous opponent, and that he is in fine form at the moment is evidenced by the fact that he held Glen Wade, one of the most outstanding wrestlers to have appeared here this season, to a draw at Masterton last night. Singh is a very colourful matman, and is sure to provide plenty of fireworks in his match with Blomfield. There will be amateur preliminaries from. 8 o'clock. Particulars are advertised.
