i (From "The Posts7' Representative.) LONDON, June 8. The Coronation Cup is a prominent event during Derby Week. In this year's field of four, Windsor Lad and Easton started joint favourites. Windsor' Lad won the Derby and the St. Leger last year, and this week at Epsom he gained a brilliant victory over Lord Woolavington's Easton, who was second in last year's Derby. Windsor Lad was eased in .the last ten yards, and he won by a.length. and a half. The distance between the two in the Derby twelve months'ago was, a length. The'time of Thursday's race-was 2min 33 Msec, which is': considerably faster than Bahrain's -time on Wednesday. Windsor Lad is the Irish-bred son "of Blandford, and is now owned by Mr. M. H. Benson. . Easton is the" French son-of Dark Legend. It is recorded that two more perfectly-trained colts have never been saddled for -. a race than were Easlori and Windsor Lad when Fred Darling and Marcus Marsh put them down. In the paddock inspection, there was nothing to choose between them. Their dispositions are different. Easton on his toes .was full of fire and eagerness; Windsor .
